| It’s just unbelievable that it is March already!
I KNOW that we are all ready to be done with snow/winter though!
Wow..you have done a great job with the ramp! We do hope that the
snow can be all gone!! Wishful thinking. . .
In that light, we would like to add some time to our school days to make up for the lost time during all the snow! During the week of March 8-12, we ask that the AM Pre-K’s come from 9-11:30 on M-W-F. Since Friday is our nurse visitation day, please note our 11:30 dismissal time and pick your little one up at that time! AM and PM Classes come together that morning only! For our Wee Ones, we would like to start class at 8:30 on Tues. and Thurs. of that week. Therefore class would be from 8:30-11:00. This extra time will allow us to catch up on work we fell behind on. Hope you won’t mind our changes? Dad’s Days were a big success! Thanks so much for your patience there and doing the rescheduling! We were so glad the dad’s could take time from their busy schedules to come! Thanks, too, to our class moms for helping to make our Olympics work. We couldn’t have done that without you!! I am sure everyone had a great time and made very special memories! The children were truly thrilled to show off their school!! Hope you have checked out the web page for pictures! Spring Break comes this month. Hope you can spend some fun time with your families, making memories. These children are so precious!! It is my prayer that you can remember that the "things" of their lives will be worthless if they have no relationship with YOU!! You are their most important teachers--God has expressly picked you for that job!! How much are you investing today..in your child's tomorrow? Just before Spring Break (Mar. 22nd/26th), we will have our annual trip to the Muncie Children’s Museum and Pizza Hut. For this trip, we ask that all moms come with us, if at all possible. We meet at the Museum for a morning of fun and then we stop at the Pizza Hut on Wheeling Ave. for lunch together. I have put the times on the calendar and yes, we are combining the Pre-K classes for this trip! Admission to the museum is $4.00 each per person (sorry, they do not honor MCM memberships for group trips) although the pre-school WILL pay for your pre-schooler. At Pizza Hut, your lunch would be 1 Personal Pan Pizza for you and 1/2 pan for the child, with drinks for both. Your choices will be Sausage, Pepperoni or Cheese Pizzas. Therefore if you were coming with your child, your cost for the morning would be $4.00 for your MCM admission and $6.00 for lunch for the both of you. Total being $10.00--a good deal! I'll need to order the pizzas early so please return the attached slip with your money by March 10th (M-W-F) & 11th(T-Th). Again, please make checks payable to me!! I would like this to be a special time for the kids, so the children eat lunch in a big group all together and the moms can recuperate from the morning at the museum by eating in the other rooms! (This is the only time I'll take care of your kids at lunch!! On the other hand, if you would like to volunteer to take care of the children, us teachers can eat in the other room!! Ha-Ha! ) Thank you for taking the time to meet your children’s friends and making special memories for them. Applications for next year’s pre-school are available. They are filled on a first come, first served basis so return your application quickly to assure yourself of the class you want. You may also apply on-line but the app is not considered official until we receive the printed back of the application and registration check. PRE - K NEWS I want to thank all the moms who have so generously given of their time to our "Mom Helper" program! As you can tell, the children have loved having you there and it is such a help to them. I thank you so much! Kindergarten clinics should go well next month! Don’t forget to take advantage of the Well-Child Clinics through the Health Dept. for the immunizations needed for kindergarten. You can call 747-7814 for the clinic and time most convenient to you or the schedule is available on our website. Hopefully, we will finish up our number books!! The kids have had fun making them, please keep them to review! We will be talking about healthy foods and bodies and hope you are maintaining some good habits with your children! WEE ONES NEWS Most of the children can count to 10 now and are identifying all the shapes! We will be talking about healthy foods and healthy bodies and hope you are starting some good habits for your little ones! These little ones seem to enjoy coloring their letter papers and soon we will be sending those books home for you to enjoy. Our year has passed quickly and I hope these children will be ready to move up to the faster paced class of Pre-K. They are growing up right before your eyes!! ENJOY! |
