for important note, please!
Here we are to May!! Truly, where has our year
gone?? It has been a really good year..your little ones have grown
so much! You have such special children! I want to encourage
you to remain very involved in your child's life and education!
I do very much want
to thank some people that have really helped the children (and therefore
us also) this year at school. Thank you to our Class Moms: Mrs. Vest,
Mrs. Parkison (AM Pre-K); Mrs. Backus, Mrs. Clay (PM Pre-K); Mrs. Burden
(A.M. Wee Ones)! You certainly did a wonderful job this year!
Our parties were great--so thank you moms/dads for co-operating with our
Class Moms!! Thank you all for the contributions to our parties--they
made for special times for the kids.
Thank you to all the "Mom/Dad/
Helpers" this year--your time was precious to some of our struggling students.
The children really enjoyed having you be a part of their classes!
I can not encourage you enough to stay involved totally in their lives:
guarding their friendships; monitoring their school activities; and more
importantly, nurturing the relationship with you, your family and God to
get them through life.
The Pre-K's had a great
trip to McCulloch Park & Fire Station #6! Thank you to Mr. Jim
Clevenger for making all our arrangements! He is very faithful to
us! Gosh, the kids were so good and I want to thank our chaperones
for helping to take care of them on our bus trip! Mr. Scott Hahn
brought his fire gear, and Carrie and Larry--EMT’s from Albany EMS visited
with the Wee Ones and they did a great job!! There are new
pictures on the web page from our special times so check out the links
in all of your classes. Our last days of school are approaching . . we
have much to do.
Several of you have asked about pre-school payments this month--they
are normal fees. The board feels it is easier to have equal payments
for the year than to have payments based on attendance each month.
Thank you very, very much for your support of this new Spring Fund Raiser!
We are planning to do the pizzas again in the fall..hope you will be able
to help us out again. I don’t know about you but my children cleaned
out the pizzas in no time—and they don’t even live at home any more!!
We are pleased to announce our very 1st
CCPS Maplewood Golf Tournament! Mr. Daniel Blevins has been working
very hard to set up a special Golf Tournament with the proceeds to benefit
our preschool!! It is scheduled for May 15th at 2 PM. Please
see the flyer for more information! We are very grateful for this
opportunity!
Spring Graduation is for the Pre-K's only!
It is May 14th, in the church sanctuary—AM at 10 AM and the PM class at
8:30 AM. I would like to ask that you take your child to the restroom
and then bring them to the fellowship hall 15 minutes before the time designated
on your calendar! Please try to be on time so we can start graduation
promptly to accommodate those parents that are taking time from work!
The PM Pre-K's will NOT be meeting for class on Thurs. May 13th as we are
on a special event with the Wee Ones. The Wee Ones will have normal school
on Tues. but their field trip is their last
day of school. If it is really raining that morning, we will have
normal school. Listen to WLBC or check the web page if you have doubts
about what we are doing!
This is a reminder to hang onto your school bag—we will use them again
next year!!
I'm sure you won't miss my lectures
and I hope I haven't offended anyone. Our web page (www.centerchapelpreschool.com)
has summer activities on the June, July and August calendars. Feel
free to write anytime to keep us in touch! (mrswallace@centerchapelpreschool.com
-- beat@iquest.net [Miss Brenda's address]) Thank you again for making
our year a successful one and may God bless you and your children!
